Waterjet

Waterjet technology is a unique way to cut intricate designs from a single piece of metal or any material eliminating the need for welding or grinding.

Waterjet exerts no pressure or heat distortion on the material. This process uses the combined power of garnet abrasive and water under pressures up to 55,000 psi. An intensifier pump is used to force the water through a tiny opening in a sapphire jewel, blasting the water out at 2.5 times the speed of sound. The power and precision of the waterjet can virtually cut any material from stainless steel to plastic leaving clean finished edges.
